Sezatoare #4 #5

Reshape Urban Places finally made its first step towards the reshaping process. Initially, it means that our Office shall be created as a space suitable for very different purposes: administrative paperwork, cooking, relaxing, manual work, meetings, game evenings, workouts, watching movies, dancing, acting etc.

This time however, it turned out a bit different than expected…

Those who follow us on Facebook might already know that in the past Sezatoare Urbanas we reused old pallets from the backyard in order to build some more furniture for the Office (official part of reshaping). We had it in two editions, as the preparation of the wood is already half the process. The pallets were disassembled, sanded and rearranged. In this very moment Pierre is giving them an oil coating to preserve the beautiful colour and prevent them from getting wet.

Stefan was so foresighted to bring his sanding machine – and that is where the fun began.

While everyone was busy with his own wood planks, our complete Office got covered in wooden dust. Stefan’s machine did a fine job!

Games, shoes, tables, chairs and radiators looked like a Sahara wind swirled around and RĂ©mi is convinced that even our walls got a slightly darker shade. In the middle of the workshop, the air was merely a dusty fog filled with hammer blows and sanding noises.

You can imagine that cleaning this mess was less enjoyable. After all, I believe that the Office never went through the stages of dirt and cleanliness in such a short time frame.

Finally it was all shiny and bright again (ahem, that is, to say slightly euphemistic – it will take ages until the last dust particles will be gone).

Stay tuned to see the final results or stop by at Friday to work with us on further pallet projects
