This conference has taken place in the far 2006, but still -i have to say it- I don't feel like the creativity of youngsters is encouraged how it should be.
I'm not saying that mathematics is not an important subject, but it's really sad to see that we're all good when it's time to do equations(so never, basically), but when it's time to be proactive and use our emotional intelligence many of us become afraid.
I observed it during my first month here in Mirakolix; at the beginning it might be difficult to deal with activities that don't involve only the "accademic" way of thinking, but also the feelings and the body.
But... who said that you can't learn useful things by playing? I'm really curious about the results of our non formal activities, and I can't wait to see if Ken Robinson is right!
Stay tuned!
