Winter is fresh. Winter is white. Winter is cold. Hot chocolate, meeting
friends and sleigh riding. Fresh snow. Early twilight.
Last Saturday a blizzard was
whirling in Laborazon. A big and beautiful creation containing of dance,
theatre, video projection, light installations and a jam session. All inspired
and planned by our incredible talent Ms Egle, who went a bit crazy in the weeks
before and made this great and unique performance possible.
We saw a bird learning to fly and we
remembered ourselves, playing in the snow as kids. We experienced the emergence
of a storm. And fought each other with newspaper snowflakes.
There are many ideas to escape a
cold winter night (attending a performance is a good option) and many of them
are involved with food. Nothing can give us so much comfort as a good, rich
soup, hot chocolate or a freshly baked cake. However, all this comfort often
comes along with some tiny holiday pounds.
The weather does not call for
exercise but the favourite pair of jeans is slowly tightening?
Well, folks, if you have already
been avoiding exercising for some time, then you should give Mirco’s quick but
efficient work outs a try. Being myself not a super sport-enthusiast (I rather
prefer training my a** on the couch while reading) I promise that these
exercises are very suitable for beginners and you can feel the improvement
already after a few sessions. Although Mirco can be a bit drastic about his
work out attitude: “Weakness is going out of your body”, he gives good tips and
is encouraging (“Isn’t the pain beautiful? DON’T STOP INA GO ON GO ON ONLY TEN
SECONDS LEFT”).
Apparently all of our regular guests
are very into the body weight exercises, since none of them showed up at our
DIY work out tools workshop. But you shall be forgiven my friends, as the workshop
was still successful. I proudly announce that I managed to make this actually
not so super complicated TRX (suspension trainer). A cheap and versatile workout (and torture) device. (TRX tutorial)
So, buddies, see you next time for
the workout!
Ina
